About Brow lamination at Azizam
Brow lamination is a semi-permanent treatment that resets your brow hairs into a brushed-up, upward-pointing shape and holds them there for around six weeks. For brows that are unruly, flat, sparse or grow in multiple directions, the difference it makes is significant. The finish is fuller, more defined, and reads considered without looking painted on.
The way it works is straightforward. A gentle processing solution softens the hair bonds so the brow can be reshaped. We comb the hairs into the direction we want, apply a setting solution to lock them there, and finish with a nourishing oil to return moisture. The whole process takes around 45 minutes. You close your eyes, relax, and leave with the shape set.
Lamination is often misunderstood. Done badly, it reads as a trend, with brows pushed stiffly upward in an obvious way. Done well, the finish looks like the best natural version of your brows. The hairs sit in the most flattering direction for your face, and the overall shape has more presence without looking styled. The difference is in the products used and the hand of the technician.
We keep our lamination finish deliberately soft. No extreme angles, no dramatic arch lifts. The result should look like your brows have simply been beautifully groomed and happen to stay that way for six weeks. Most clients find the finish calmer than they expected, and several have told us they did not realise lamination could look this natural.
Lamination pairs exceptionally well with tint or henna. Adding colour alongside the shape and direction brings the whole treatment together. The most popular combination on our menu is lamination, tint and shape in a single appointment. For AED 80 extra, we will add a tint during the same session.
Aftercare is important with lamination because the bonds are still settling for the first day. Keep the brows dry for 24 hours. No water, no product, no touching. Brush lightly with a dry spoolie on day one to keep them in direction. From day two onwards, you can cleanse normally, apply your usual products (avoiding heavy oils directly on the brow for the first week), and resume your full routine. A nightly brow oil from day three onwards will keep the hair in excellent condition.
Results last around six weeks, fading gradually as the hair naturally grows and the reshape settles. Many clients book lamination every six to eight weeks as part of a regular grooming routine. If your brows have been laminated before and are now feeling a little dry or brittle, we suggest pausing for a cycle and using a rich brow serum for a month before coming back. The treatment is gentle when spaced properly, and very kind to the hair when balanced with rest.
Lamination suits women with brow hairs that grow in unpredictable directions, flat brows that could read fuller with more lift, or sparse brows that benefit from the visual fullness the brushed-up shape gives.
Brow lamination FAQs
How often should I have my brows shaped?
Every three to four weeks keeps the shape consistent. In between, light tweezing at home is fine, but avoid major tidying yourself so the shape does not drift.
How long does brow tint last?
Around three weeks on the skin and up to six on the hair, depending on how often you exfoliate or use active skincare around the brow area.
What is brow lamination?
A gentle treatment that sets the brow hairs into a brushed-up, more defined shape. The result lasts around six weeks and works especially well for unruly or sparse brows.
Can I have brows shaped while pregnant?
Waxing, threading, and tweezing are safe. Tints and henna are a personal choice, so we always pause chemical services in the first trimester unless you would like to proceed.
Will shaping my brows make them grow back thicker or thinner?
Shaping itself does not change how your brows grow. Consistent, considered shaping encourages the healthy hairs to grow in and reduces strays over time. Aggressive, uneven shaping over many years can slow regrowth in certain areas, which is exactly what careful, light work avoids.
What is the difference between brow tint and brow henna?
Tint colours the hair and lightly stains the skin beneath, fading in two to three weeks on the skin and four to six weeks on the hair. Henna stains both more deeply, so the effect is fuller and reads particularly well for sparse or uneven brows. Henna lasts around two weeks on the skin and up to six on the hair.
Can brow hair that has not grown for years come back?
Sometimes, and sometimes not. It depends on whether the follicle is still active or fully closed. We will assess honestly during your consultation. A brow serum used nightly for three months is often the right first step, and pairing with lamination or henna can give visual fullness while regrowth is in progress.
How long should I let my brows grow before my first appointment?
Two to three weeks of growing-out gives your technician enough to work with. If you have been tidying strays yourself, stop for about a week before the appointment. That lets us see the full growth pattern and design a shape that will behave well between visits.
“My brows have never looked better. Considered, quiet work. No drama, just exactly what I wanted. The team knows what they are doing.”
