About Lash refill at Azizam
A lash refill is how you keep an extension set looking as it did on day one. Natural lashes grow and shed on their own cycle, and with each natural lash that falls away, the extension attached to it goes with it. Over the course of two to three weeks, you will lose enough density that the set begins to look sparse. A refill rebuilds it.
At Azizam, a refill is not just a top-up. We start by examining your natural lashes to check their health and cleanliness. We remove any extensions that have grown out so far that they sit at an angle rather than flush to the natural lash. We gently clean the lash line with an extension-safe product if there is any residue from oils, makeup, or product build-up. Then we rebuild the shape of the set, matching the original style so your finish stays consistent.
Timing is important. The sweet spot for a refill is two to three weeks from your last appointment. At that point, you will have lost somewhere between a third and half of the original extensions, and a refill can reasonably rebuild back to full density. If you go four weeks or longer, the natural shed outpaces what a refill can achieve, and you will be looking at a fresh set appointment instead. It is not a rule we have invented. It is physics.
We can refill a set that was applied elsewhere, but we ask for a photograph first and we may suggest a removal and fresh set instead of a refill. Not every set we receive has been applied to the standard we work to, and rebuilding on a weak foundation does not serve you well.
The appointment usually runs between 60 and 75 minutes depending on how much rebuilding is needed and which style of extensions you are in. Classic refills are quickest. Hybrid and volume refills take longer because fan-work cannot be rushed. Russian volume and mega volume refills take the longest.
Aftercare between refills is the same as aftercare for a fresh set. Brush the lashes with your spoolie each morning and evening. Avoid oil-based removers. Cleanse the lash line properly so product and makeup do not build up. If you feel an extension is loose or at a strange angle, do not pull at it. Leave it for your next appointment and we will sort it cleanly.
Pricing depends on which style you are in. Classic refills start from AED 220, hybrid from AED 280, volume from AED 320, Russian volume from AED 360, mega from AED 420. If you are unsure which style your current set is, send a photo and we will confirm.
Booking regularly is the difference between a set that always looks beautiful and a set that looks beautiful for the first week and tired by the third. We keep notes on your preferred style, curl and length so each refill appointment picks up exactly where the last one left off.
Lash refill FAQs
How long do lash extensions last?
With a proper refill every two to three weeks, extensions can be worn continuously. Between appointments, you can expect a natural shed rate of a few lashes per day.
Will extensions damage my natural lashes?
Not when applied correctly. The weight and length are matched to each natural lash so nothing is strained. Poor application is what causes damage, and that is exactly what careful work avoids.
Can I wear makeup with lash extensions?
Yes. Avoid oil-based products and heavy mascara directly on the extensions. A light touch of liner close to the lash line is fine.
How long is my first lash appointment?
A full set of classic lashes takes around 90 minutes. Volume or Russian volume sets take two hours or more, depending on the style.
What is the difference between classic, hybrid, volume and Russian volume lashes?
Classic is one extension per natural lash, for a soft, natural finish. Hybrid blends classic and volume for a touch more density. Volume uses handmade fans for a fuller, defined lash line. Russian volume is the most precise and editorial, built with finer, denser fans. Your technician will recommend the style that suits your natural lashes and the look you want.
Can I wear contact lenses with lash extensions?
Yes. Extensions do not interfere with contact lenses. We suggest removing your lenses before the appointment for comfort, and inserting them afterwards once the adhesive has fully cured.
Will lash extensions suit my eye shape?
A good lash artist always designs the set around your eye shape rather than a trend. Almond, round, hooded and monolid eyes each benefit from different length and curl patterns. We will map the set before we begin, and we will say so honestly if a particular style would not flatter you.
What should I do if an extension feels uncomfortable?
Message us. Do not pull at it. If a single extension has bonded to two natural lashes or is sitting at an unusual angle, we can correct it in a few minutes. Never attempt to remove an extension yourself. It almost always takes the natural lash with it.
