About Brow lifting at Azizam

Brow lifting is a focused treatment that visually lifts the brow arch and opens the eye area without touching the shape of your brow hair. Unlike lamination, which reshapes the direction of every hair in the brow, a brow lift works specifically on how the brow sits on the face and how the eye reads as a result. The finish is fresher, more awake, and subtly more youthful, without any sense that something obvious has been done.

The technique combines several carefully chosen elements. A precise shaping session removes any hair that visually weighs the arch down. A gentle tint or henna application, matched softer than your natural hair, deepens the colour and brings the brow into clearer focus. A soft lift through the arch is set using the same semi-permanent bonds used in lamination, but applied only to the hairs that would benefit from the lift rather than reshaping the full brow. The result is an eye area that looks opened and refreshed, with a brow that still reads unmistakably as your own.

The appointment runs around 75 minutes. We start with a consultation where we look at how your brow currently sits on your face and what would look most flattering with a subtle lift. Every face responds to brow lifting differently, and we never apply a standard amount of lift across clients. Some faces benefit from almost no visible change in brow position and instead respond better to a colour depth adjustment. Others gain significantly from a defined lift at the arch. Your technician will walk you through what they are seeing before we begin.

Aftercare is light. Keep the brow area dry for 12 hours. Avoid heavy oils, scrubs and acids directly on the brow for 24 hours. Avoid steam and swimming for the first day. From day two onwards, continue with your normal routine.

Results last between four and six weeks, softening gradually as the colour fades and the lifted hairs slowly return to their natural direction. We recommend booking the treatment around every five to six weeks if you want the finish maintained consistently. Many clients book it before a season of events, a photography shoot, or a holiday, because the fresher eye read holds particularly well in photos.

Brow lifting suits women whose brows currently read heavy or sit low on the face, clients who feel their eyes look tired in photographs, and anyone who wants a brow treatment that is less committal than a full lamination. It also suits clients who have had lamination several times and want to give their hair a gentler cycle while still maintaining visible presence.

If your brow hairs are very sparse or lacking structure, we may suggest pairing a brow lift with henna rather than tint, because the deeper skin staining helps fill any visible gaps that the lift alone would not address. For clients with particularly oily skin, we will adjust the setting technique so the lift holds reliably through the full six weeks. Send us a clear photograph over WhatsApp if you are unsure whether this is the right treatment for you, and we will recommend honestly.

Brow lifting FAQs

How often should I have my brows shaped?

Every three to four weeks keeps the shape consistent. In between, light tweezing at home is fine, but avoid major tidying yourself so the shape does not drift.

How long does brow tint last?

Around three weeks on the skin and up to six on the hair, depending on how often you exfoliate or use active skincare around the brow area.

What is brow lamination?

A gentle treatment that sets the brow hairs into a brushed-up, more defined shape. The result lasts around six weeks and works especially well for unruly or sparse brows.

Can I have brows shaped while pregnant?

Waxing, threading, and tweezing are safe. Tints and henna are a personal choice, so we always pause chemical services in the first trimester unless you would like to proceed.

Will shaping my brows make them grow back thicker or thinner?

Shaping itself does not change how your brows grow. Consistent, considered shaping encourages the healthy hairs to grow in and reduces strays over time. Aggressive, uneven shaping over many years can slow regrowth in certain areas, which is exactly what careful, light work avoids.

What is the difference between brow tint and brow henna?

Tint colours the hair and lightly stains the skin beneath, fading in two to three weeks on the skin and four to six weeks on the hair. Henna stains both more deeply, so the effect is fuller and reads particularly well for sparse or uneven brows. Henna lasts around two weeks on the skin and up to six on the hair.

Can brow hair that has not grown for years come back?

Sometimes, and sometimes not. It depends on whether the follicle is still active or fully closed. We will assess honestly during your consultation. A brow serum used nightly for three months is often the right first step, and pairing with lamination or henna can give visual fullness while regrowth is in progress.

How long should I let my brows grow before my first appointment?

Two to three weeks of growing-out gives your technician enough to work with. If you have been tidying strays yourself, stop for about a week before the appointment. That lets us see the full growth pattern and design a shape that will behave well between visits.

“My brows have never looked better. Considered, quiet work. No drama, just exactly what I wanted. The team knows what they are doing.”
