About Hydrating facial at Azizam
A hydrating facial is our most requested treatment through the warmer months, and for good reason. Dubai's combination of intense sun, heavy air conditioning, and long-haul travel is a perfect dehydration triangle for skin. Skin that feels tight by the end of the day, reads dull in the mirror, or has lost its bounce after a flight is almost always dehydrated rather than dry, and a properly built hydrating facial can reverse that in a single session.
The appointment runs 60 minutes. We start with a double cleanse to clear the skin, then a gentle exfoliation to make the surface more receptive to what follows. From there, the treatment is layered. Hydrating serums with hyaluronic acid and ceramides go on in thin coats, each massaged gently into the skin before the next. A cooling, gel-based mask sits on the face for 10 to 15 minutes to lock in moisture, and during that time the facialist works the neck, shoulders and upper back with a soothing massage.
Lymphatic drainage massage is central to this facial. When the skin is dehydrated, fluid retention often appears around the eyes and jawline, and the face can look puffier than usual. Gentle lymphatic massage moves that fluid out and immediately reduces puffiness. It also encourages circulation, bringing more oxygen and nutrients to the skin, which accelerates the hydrating effect of the products we have just applied.
The closing stage is a layered finish of essence, moisturiser and a balm at the very last step. SPF is applied if you are heading outside afterwards. Skin feels plumper, softer and calmer. The lift from the massage holds for two to four days, and the hydration itself holds for at least a week with good aftercare.
This treatment suits any woman whose skin feels tight, dull, or flat. It is ideal after long-haul travel, which is why many clients book it within the first three days of arriving in Dubai or returning from trips. It is also excellent for the transition into summer and the height of summer itself, when humidity paradoxically dehydrates the skin through extended AC exposure.
If your skin is very dry rather than just dehydrated, we may suggest pairing this with a richer cream finish, or combining with LED in a later appointment to deepen the effect. If your skin is breakout-prone, we will talk through whether this facial or a deep cleanse would suit you better on the day. There is no fixed rule. Skin changes, and the treatment should change with it.
Aftercare is uncomplicated. Continue to drink water. Avoid actives, retinoids and acids for 48 hours. Wear a good-quality SPF the following day and ideally every day. If you have been advised to layer hydrating serums at home, we will send you away with a clear two-product routine to maintain the result between visits.
Most clients settle into booking a hydrating facial every four to six weeks through summer and more flexibly through the cooler months.
Hydrating facial FAQs
How often should I have a facial?
Every four to six weeks is ideal for most skin types. If you are working through a specific concern like pigmentation or breakouts we may suggest a shorter course, then ease back to monthly maintenance.
What should I do before a facial?
Avoid strong actives like retinoids and acids for a few days beforehand, and come with clean, makeup-free skin if possible. Drink water. Arrive a few minutes early so you can settle in properly.
Can I have a facial before an event?
Yes, but give the skin at least two days to settle, especially if you have chosen something with extractions. For an event the same day, ask us about our express glow facial.
Are facials suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. The products and steps are adjusted to how your skin responds on the day. We never push through a treatment if the skin is telling us to ease off.
Which facial should I book if I have never had one before?
Our signature facial. It is a full routine tailored to whatever your skin needs on the day, and it gives the facialist a full read on how your skin responds. Everything we recommend after your first visit is shaped by what we see during this session.
Should I wear makeup after my facial?
You can, but most clients prefer to let the skin breathe for the rest of the day. If you have something on afterwards, a light tinted SPF and a soft lip is plenty. We will never push product onto skin that is still reactive from a treatment.
How soon after a facial can I go in the sun?
Strong, direct sun is best avoided for 48 hours, particularly after any treatment involving acids, extractions or brightening products. Wear a broad-spectrum SPF daily whatever the treatment. Dubai sun is stronger than most visitors realise, and post-facial skin is more reactive than usual.
Are your products suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. We stock a considered, professional-grade range with options for every skin type, including reactive and post-aesthetic-treatment skin. Your facialist will patch-test new ingredients if you have any history of sensitivity, and we will always adjust the products on the day if your skin is behaving differently than usual.
